Technical Inspection Along the Route This is routine work and its occurrence depends on the level of the potential risk present in each route, based on its vulnerability to actions by third parties. The procedure enfolds the following activities: • Accurate identification of potential risk spots, for instance, work sites and erosion sites; • Elaboration of maps - showing the routes - to be distributed to the community and serve as guides; • Get in touch with the community (town halls, utility companies, contractors and people living in the area); • Establish communication links between the community and maintenance teams; • Network working hours/nonstop surveillance to provide the correct location and the appropriate guidance when the intervention of third parties is necessary or in the event of network exposures waiting for repairs; • Repair analysis along the infrastructure, such as: enveloping, ducts, underground boxes, cable laying, bridge ducts, tunnels and overpasses, posts and aerial lines. In the event of any occurrence that damages the cables, the emergency team is contacted and all the necessary measures to reestablish the traffic in the given times are taken, guaranteeing the optimal availability of the network. After the traffic reestablishment, services for permanent reconstitution are scheduled in order to restore the original conditions to the damaged section.
